User Guide: Image-to-Sketch

Image-to-Sketch

Turn Realistic Images or Patterns Into Technical Drawings

  1. Select the Sketch-to-Image tool (NOTE: The image to sketch tool is built into the sketch-to-image models section)

   2. Upload an image that you would like to convert to a technical drawing. This can be a newly uploaded image or a previously rendered image from the my images section.

NOTE: You do not need to enter a prompt to use the image-to-sketch tool. After uploading your image to the main window, the convert button will turn red, letting you know it is ready to convert.

3. Click Convert

Kenna transforms your realistic image into a clean technical outline. If the result isn’t quite right, you can re-render it as many times as needed.

4. Hover over your image and select “More” to Download your technical drawing as jpg, png, or SVG. SVG is great for loading into Adobe Illustrator to manually edit your technical drawing. (NOTE: The SVG conversion can take up to 10-15 seconds to download)

5. Drag your SVG file into Adobe Illustrator to manipulate the anchor points.
